Neil Morrissey and Leslie Ash, stars of Hartswood's hit sitcom MEN BEHAVING BADLY, presented the award to Beryl. The ceremony took place on Sunday 18th April at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane and was broadcast on ITV1 the following evening. Beryl was honoured for her career as producer and executive producer as well as for pioneering the concept of selling original programme formats to the United States. Among those who paid tribute to Beryl were the writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, Simon Nye and actors Jack Davenport and Sarah Alexander from COUPLING.
