Sherlock screenplay nominated for Edgar Award

Hartswood Films’ Sherlock has received a nomination at the 2015 Edgar Awards, run by the Mystery Writers of America.

Writer and Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss is nominated for Best Television Episode Teleplay for his screenplay of series 3’s The Empty Hearse. Other productions nominated in the same category are Blue Bloods, Happy Valley, The Killing and The Game.

The Edgar Awards, named in honour of author Edgar Allan Poe, celebrate the best of mystery fiction, non-fiction and television each year. Winners will be announced on 29th April in a ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York.
