In a stellar year for British nominations, Hartswood Films’ Sherlock is the most nominated UK show – with four nominations – at this year’s Broadcast Television Journalists Association Critics’ Choice Television Awards.

There were 22 British nominations in total this year and Sherlock has received four of those for:

Best Movie – Sherlock: His Last Vow

Best Supporting Actor in a Movie or Mini Series – Martin Freeman
Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Mini Series – Amanda Abbington

One of the most successful shows on British television this year, Sherlock has sold to over 200 territories across the world. It also has an incredibly loyal fan base and online following, with the last episode of the current series generating 10,000 tweets a minute.

The ceremony, which will be broadcast live on the CW network in the US, takes place on 19th June. The awards are voted for by American TV, radio and internet journalists who cover television regularly.
