Benedict Cumberbatch receives SAG Award 2014 nomination

Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) for his performance in series 3 finale His Last Vow. Benedict is nominated in the category of ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries’.

This is the actor’s first SAG Award nomination since the series began in 2010 – other nominees in the category include Adrien Brody for Houdini, Richard Jenkins for Olive Kitteridge, Mark Ruffalo for The Normal Heart and Billy Bob Thornton for Fargo.

The 21st Annual SAG Awards will take place on 25th January 2015 in Los Angeles, with winners chosen exclusively by members of the Screen Actors Guild.
