Sherlock wins two Televisual Bulldog Awards

13 May 2013

We are delighted to announce that Hartswood Films’ Sherlock has won two awards at the 2013 Televisual Bulldog Awards. Sherlock came out on top in both the Drama Series and Music categories of this year’s awards.

Televisual added, “The second series confirmed Sherlock as a jewel in the crown for the BBC. Lead actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock and Doctor Watson won ever more fans with the quirky and intelligently produced version of the Conan Doyle classic, as close to a work of TV art as they come.”

“Building on the sound and approach for the first series, the music in the second series continued to be integral to the huge success of this 21st century update of Conan Doyle’s stories. A true collaboration, David Arnold and Michael Price created three scores for the three films in one powerful and emotional voice.”

Sherlock previously won the Best Drama Series Bulldog in 2011 for series one as well as the award for Best Editing.

The Televisual Bulldogs are presented by Televisual Magazine and are voted for by the television industry.
