Andrew Scott nominated in the Irish Film & Television Awards

With awards season in full gear, Hartswood Films’ highly acclaimed series Sherlock continues to rack up nominations. This time Andrew Scott’s portrayal of Sherlock’s nemesis Jim Moriarty has been nominated in the Best Actor in a Supporting Television Role category in the Irish Film & Television Awards.

Other nominees in the category include Peter Coonan for Love/Hate, Allen Leech for Downton Abbey and Chris O’Dowd for Moone Boy.

This is not the first time Dublin-born Scott has been recognized for the role, as he was awarded with a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in 2012.

The Irish Film & Television Awards celebrate outstanding Irish creativity, talent and achievement in the film and television industries, in both Ireland and internationally. The winners will be announced on Saturday 9th February and broadcast in primetime on RTÉ ONE.
