The writers of Hartswood Films’ Sherlock have been nominated in the category of Best Short-Form TV Drama at this year’s Writers’ Guild Awards. Writers Mark Gatiss, Steven Moffat and Stephen Thompson will go up against ITV’s Appropriate Adult and Channel 4’s This is England ’88.

The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain supports writers across media including books, film, online, radio, theatre, TV and video games. The awards recognise outstanding work within these fields of writing.

The 2012 Writers’ Guild Awards will be held on 4th November at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill, London.
