20 Nov 2012

Steven Moffat has been honoured with the Writers’ Guild Special Award for Outstanding Writing. The Sherlock co-creator told the audience gathered for the award ceremony: “Write what you love. I’ve never loved anything as much as Doctor Who and Sherlock.”

The annual awards honours writers across every media from books and theatre to TV and radio. They were presented this year at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill, London.

This recent accolade joins a list of other honours for Steve, including a BAFTA Special Award, Primetime Emmy Award and three HUGO Awards.

Sherlock is a multi award-winning contemporary take on the Arthur Conan Doyle classic  created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss for Hartswood Films, produced by Sue Vertue for BBC One.
