Hartswood’s multi-award winning Sherlock has scooped the prestigious Prix Europa Award for Best Episode of a Television Fiction Series or Serial of the Year 2011.
The episode, A Study In Pink, beat of stiff competition at the ceremony in Berlin. Co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis, the show was praised as a “fresh adaptation of a timeless classic, visually inventive and made in an arresting style, bringing well known characters to a new audience.”
Hartswood’s Sherlock is already the proud winner of several awards in the UK including the Best Drama Series at this year’s BAFTA Awards. It has also been recognized internationally with the prestigious American Peabody Award for Entertainment, the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials, and the Canadian BANFF Award for Best Continuing Series.
Hartswood has recently finished shooting three more Sherlock films for transmission next year on BBC One.
