Before joining Hartswood Films in 1993, Debbie was Freelance in the industry, working her way up from Runner to First Assistant Director. She was Third Assistant Director on the feature films MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY (Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson), OCTOPUSSY (James Bond) THE HUNGER (David Bowie, Catherine Deneuve), WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (Sir Ralph Richardson, Deborah Kerr), Co-Second Assistant Director on OXFORD BLUES (Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy) and Second Assistant Director on AND A NIGHTINGALE SANG (Joan Plowright, Stephen Tomkinson). As First Assistant Director, Debbie worked on THE BILL and numerous commercials.

She joined Hartswood in 1993 as a Production Co-ordinator working on A WOMAN'S GUIDE TO ADULTERY, MY GOOD FRIEND and IS IT LEGAL? Debbie was a Production Manager on MEN BEHAVING BADLY and on all documentaries made by Hartswood. She Co-Produced the dramatised documentary THE WELSH GREAT ESCAPE.

Debbie sits on the Business Affairs Council of PACT (Producers Alliance of Cinema and Television). She is General Manager for Hartswood, a Company Director and Company Secretary.
