Elaine Cameron

Elaine is a Producer, Executive Producer and Head of Development at Hartswood, as well as a Company Director. She produced the 90-minute finale of the second series of Sherlock; other recent producing credits include the comedy-drama Edge of Heaven and three-part drama The Guilty for ITV, and a new comedy pilot for BBC Three.

Elaine is currently developing and producing a slate of new comedies, comedy-dramas and dramas in all shapes and sizes; and a number of series, serials and single films with various broadcasters.

Elaine’s other producing credits at Hartswood include the series Wonderful You for ITV starring Greg Wise, and the series Border CafĂ© for BBC One written by Tim Firth. She produced the award-winning single film After Thomas about a little boy with autism for ITV (first shown on Boxing Day) and Steven Moffat’s Emmy-nominated six-part series Jekyll, starring James Nesbitt for BBC One.

As Hartswood’s Head of Development, Elaine has worked closely with Beryl Vertue on a huge amount of drama, including The English Wife and A Woman’s Guide To Adultery by Frank Cottrell Boyce. She was script editor on five series and three Christmas Specials of the hugely successful Men Behaving Badly, and three series of Is It Legal? as well as editing the best-selling book The A-Z Of Behaving Badly.
