Elaine Cameron

Elaine has been with Hartswood for a hundred years. Recent producing credits include the 90-minute finale of the second series of Sherlock, and a Comedy Showcase for Channel Four entitled Coma Girl by Abigail Wilson.
Elaine is currently developing and producing a slate of new comedies, comedy-dramas and dramas in all shapes and sizes; series, serials and single films with various broadcasters, including Messy and Edge of Heaven for ITV and The Guilty (3 x 1hr drama) which is in pre-production.
As Hartswood’s Head of Development, Elaine has worked closely with Beryl Vertue on a huge amount of drama (The English Wife, A Woman’s Guide To Adultery) and comedy (My Good Friend starring George Cole & Minnie Driver). She has script-edited five series and three Christmas Specials of Men Behaving Badly and three series of Is It Legal? as well as editing the best-selling book The A-Z Of Behaving Badly.
Elaine’s other producing credits at Hartswood include the series Wonderful You for ITV starring Greg Wise and the series Border CafĂ© for BBC1 written by Tim Firth. She produced the award-winning single film After Thomas about a little boy with autism for ITV (Boxing Day) and Steven Moffat’s six part series Jekyll for BBC1 starring James Nesbitt (who was Emmy-nominated for the role).
Elaine started her career in advertising at Grey Ltd and worked at Palace Films before joining Beryl at Hartswood. She is married with two young children.
